Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center has named Denise Chamberlain, M.A.Ed., vice president and vice chief financial officer, effective Sept. 8.
As the Medical Center’s second-in-command finance leader, Chamberlain will be responsible for financial management and performance and will serve as an adviser to executive leadership regarding financial operations.
“Denise brings to this new position a depth of executive experience in health care financial operations across a variety of for-profit and academic health care settings,” said Chad A. Eckes, M.B.A., Wake Forest Baptist’s executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Chamberlain’s career includes service as vice president of finance and interim chief financial officer at the Parkland Health and Hospital System in Dallas. She is the author of “Money to Care: Hospital Finance for Non-Financial Hospital Leaders.”
