Dorothy Wishnietsky, a diabetes educator with Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, will present a free talk on diabetes from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. March 9 at the Carver School Road Branch of the Forsyth County Library.
Wishnietsky''s topic is "Diabetes: The Good News." The event is sponsored by the library and the Women''s Health Center of Excellence at the Medical Center.
The program is part of "Health at the Well," a Women''s Center effort to educate women about health issues. Every two months, a lecture and a demonstration will be presented on a different health topic. In addition to the public programs, the library and Women''s Center are providing resources materials on women''s health in the library. During March and April, pamphlets, articles and other information on diabetes will be available.
