Novant Health and Wake Forest Baptist Health announced the opening of a new respiratory assessment center at the Highland Avenue Primary Care Clinic. Beginning Friday, June 5, the respiratory assessment center, located at 650 N. Highland Ave., Suite 120 in Winston-Salem, will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Respiratory assessment centers (RAC) test and treat patients experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. The Highland Avenue RAC does not require appointments or referrals.

“All of us at Novant Health, Wake Forest Baptist and the Forsyth County Health Department want those in our community to know that we are doing all we can to increase access and reduce barriers to receiving assessment, testing and treatment for symptoms of COVID-19,” said Richard Lord, M.D. and John Mann, M.D., board chairs of the Highland Avenue Primary Care Clinic.
