The Wake Forest Baptist Health Lexington Medical Center Foundation recently announced the cancellation of this year’s Sportsmen’s Saturday fundraising event. Each year, the Foundation looks forward to hosting more than 1,000 community members at this signature event featuring food, fellowship and a chance to win a sportsman’s dream prize all while benefiting our community hospital. This year, with health and safety top of mind, the Foundation Board has made the difficult decision to cancel Sportsmen’s Saturday 2020, previously scheduled for Oct. 31.
The Foundation remains committed to supporting Lexington Medical Center, and we encourage the community to give to our COVID-19 Response Fund online at WakeHealth.edu/Covid19Support. You may designate your donations directly to Lexington Medical Center.
Sportsmen’s Saturday is one of the Foundation’s largest fundraising events and favorite ways to engage with the community. While the Foundation team members will miss this great community event, on what would have been the 11th annual event, they are already planning and looking forward to a better-than-ever Sportsmen’s Saturday 2021.
