May 11, 2016

Wake Forest Baptist Health – Davie Medical Center in Bermuda Run will be hosting a community day on Saturday, May 21.

The free event will run from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

There will be plenty of food, music, car seat safety checks, face painting and a balloon artist.

A bike rodeo will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Children should bring their own bicycles to the rodeo and each child will also be provided with a free helmet while supplies last.

In addition, medical staff will offer free health screenings including vision, foot, cholesterol, blood pressure and glucose checks.

The popular Peachtree Farmers Market will also be held in the front parking lot.

“We are so excited to be a part of making our community healthier,” said Chad Brown, president of Davie Medical Center. “Our friends and neighbors will also be able to see the progress that is being made on our new inpatient facility.”

The new 50-bed addition is expected to open in the spring of 2017.

Wake Forest Baptist Health – Davie Medical Center is located at 329 N.C. Hwy 801 North in Bermuda Run.
