NIH Spotlights Wake Forest Baptist Research on High-Risk Drinking on College Campuses

July 25, 2012

The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), part of the National Institutes of Health, featured the research of Mark Wolfson, Ph.D., professor of social sciences and health policy at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, in a recent news release.

Wolfson’s study showed that coordinated strategies addressing alcohol availability, alcohol policy enforcement and drinking norms can help colleges and their communities protect students from the harms of high-risk drinking. The study was published in the July 23 online edition of the journal Alcoholism: Clinical and Experimental Research.
