Wake Forest Baptist Holds Free Document Shredding Event Oct. 8

September 30, 2011

Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and the American Heart Association (AHA) will host a free shredding event on Saturday, Oct. 8, from 9 a.m. until noon, in the parking lot of the Miller Plaza building, located at 2200 Cloverdale Ave.

Cintas Corporation will provide shredding services. Participants can watch as their documents are securely shredded on-site before being recycled.

The shredding service is free; however, donations will be accepted. All proceeds benefit the AHA’s Tanglewood Heart and Stroke Walk. The Walk festivities begin at 8 a.m. Registration for the Walk is required.

The Walk is the AHA’s largest local fundraiser and will take place on Saturday, Oct. 15. Wake Forest Baptist is proud to be the presenting sponsor of the Walk.

More than 1 million Americans participate in Heart & Stroke walks across the country, in more than 300 cities to fund research to erase heart disease and stroke, two of the nation’s biggest killers.

For more information on the Walk, and to register, visit www.wakehealth.edu/Tanglewood or contact Lisa Long at lclong@wakehealth.edu. For more information on the AHA, visit www.heart.org.
