Tickets to Go On Sale for “An Evening of Healing Through Song,”

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Tickets to the gospel concert sponsored by Oprah Winfrey and Maya Angelou to benefit the Maya Angelou Research Center on Minority Health at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center will go on sale to the public Sunday Nov. 14 at noon through Ticketmaster. The program will be held Friday Nov. 26 at 6 p.m. at St. Peter’s World Outreach Center, 3683 Old Lexington Rd.


The concert will feature gospel singer Joshua Nelson, whose debut album, "How I Got Over," was nominated for the gospel industry’s Stellar Award and a Grammy Award.


Tickets can be purchased by calling Ticketmaster at (336) 722-6400 and requesting the Joshua Nelson Concert at St. Peter's World Outreach Center in Winston-Salem. Patrons may also purchase tickets online at www.ticketmaster.com. Type "Joshua Nelson" or "St. Peter's World Outreach Center, Winston-Salem," in the search box. Tickets may also be purchased at any Ticketmaster outlet. Ticket prices are $25, $35 and $50. No tickets will be sold at the event. Ticket sales will close on Wednesday Nov. 24 at noon.
