Downtown Health Plaza Director Honored for Achievement

Michael L. Clements, director of the Downtown Health Plaza of Baptist Hospital was recently honored by the social work section of the North Carolina Public Health Association (NCPHA) with the group’s outstanding achievement award. Clements was recognized for his leadership at the Downtown Health Plaza and his support of social work principles and profession. The award was presented to him on Sept. 17 in Winston-Salem at the NCPHA’s annual meeting.

He is a graduate of Shaw University and holds master’s degrees in public health and social work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

The Downtown Health Plaza is located at 1200 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. It provides comprehensive primary and preventative health care services including obstetrics/gynecology, pediatrics and adult medicine. The facility also has an onsite pharmacy, lab and radiology and specialized services such as:

  • Dermatology
  • Gastroenterology
  • Hypertension Management
  • Neurology
  • Podiatry
  • Pulmonary Care
  • Kidney Disease Management
  • Outpatient Surgery

It operates Monday-Friday – 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., or after hours by appointment, (336) 713-9700.
