The Pink Ribbon Talks, An Event for Women with Breast Cancer, to Include National Speaker and Local Specialists

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., Sept. 2002 – The Pink Ribbon Talks, the first local annual event of its kind for women with breast cancer, will be held October 19 at the Hawthorne Inn, in Winston-Salem. The event is hosted by Cancer Services, Inc., Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center and Forsyth Regional Cancer Center. Judy C. Kneece, RN, OCN, a nationally recognized speaker and author, and president of EduCare Inc. will deliver the keynote address, “Learning Breast Cancer Survivalist Tactics.”

It will be a day of learning and sharing information, resources and support. A local panel of oncologists, surgeons and physicians will discuss latest breast cancer news. Breast cancer specialists will lead breakout sessions on a range of hot topics, including hormone replacement therapy, complementary medicine, and cancer recurrence. Vendors will be available for demonstrations and will display products and information.
