Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Enhances Access to Care in Guilford County

New urgent care in Oak Ridge to provide convenient and high-quality care

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., Aug. 17, 2026 — Today, Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist opened a new urgent care clinic in Oak Ridge, North Carolina, expanding access to convenient care for families in northwestern Guilford County and eastern Forsyth County.

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Urgent Care Oak Ridge is located at 8001-A Marketplace Drive and provides care for patients of all ages, including newborns, and offers extended evening and weekend hours. The clinic also offers on-site pediatric providers, making it easier for families to access care close to home.

The clinic is open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Patients seeking care can visit the location without scheduling an appointment in advance. Walk-in visits are welcome, making it easier for community members to access convenient care.

With the opening of the Oak Ridge location, Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist now operates 19 pediatric and adult urgent care clinics across the region, along with more than 160 primary care and specialty care locations in Guilford County.

Services available at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Urgent Care Oak Ridge include:

  • Treatment of minor illnesses and injuries
  • Prescriptions when medically appropriate
  • Testing for flu, COVID-19, RSV and strep throat
  • Minor procedures, including stitches
  • Treatment for minor cuts, burns and skin rashes
  • X-rays
  • Lab testing, including blood work
  • Care for simple fractures and sprains

Patients also can access urgent care video visits 24 hours a day, seven days a week through WakeHealth.edu/UCVideoVisit or the MyAtriumHealth patient portal.

While urgent care clinics provide treatment for many minor illnesses and injuries, patients experiencing a medical emergency or life-threatening condition should call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
