Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist has opened an urgent care clinic in northwest Greensboro, located at 1319 New Garden Rd.
Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Urgent Care New Garden offers care for adults and children of all ages, with extended evening and weekend hours and on-site pediatric health care providers.
The practice is open from 7 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist now has 14 urgent care clinics across the region and more than 30 primary, specialty and urgent care practices in Greensboro.
“We are so pleased to open this urgent care clinic that will help better meet the growing needs of the Greensboro community and our thousands of employees and their families who live and work in Greensboro,” said Dr. Elisabeth Stambaugh, chief medical officer of Wake Forest Health Network, part of Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. “Being available in the evenings and on weekends is such a convenience - particularly to families with children – and we look forward to continuing to grow to meet the needs of those who count on us.”
Services include:
- Treatment of minor illnesses and injuries
- Prescriptions when needed
- Testing for flu, COVID, RSV and strep
- Minor procedures, like stitches
- Treatment for minor cuts, burns or skin rashes
- X-rays
- Lab testing, including bloodwork
- Treatment for simple fractures and sprains
Urgent care video visits are also available 24/7 at wakehealth.edu/urgentcare or through the MyAtriumHealth patient portal.
Urgent care facilities can be a convenient option for those who have minor injuries or illnesses, but doctors always remind people that in the event of a serious medical issue or life-threatening emergency, they should call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
