Two new physicians have joined Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Orthopaedics – West Park, located at 1917 W. Park Dr. in North Wilkesboro.
Dr. Jared Pate, an orthopaedic surgeon, is one of the newest additions. He specializes in total joint replacement, acute and chronic joint disease, degenerative joint disease, fracture management and hip and knee replacements.
Dr. Kristin Kirby, podiatrist, is also joining the office. Her area of expertise is in foot and ankle pain and injuries, forefoot and rearfoot surgery, sports medicine, wound care, diabetic limb salvage, pediatrics, and dermatology.
“We are thrilled to add both Dr. Pate and Dr. Kirby to our Orthopaedics – West Park team,” said Dr. Andrew Koman, co-president of Atrium Health Musculoskeletal Institute and chair of orthopaedic surgery and rehabilitation at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. “Both bring unique expertise and skills that allow us to expand services throughout Wilkes County and surrounding communities, and allow more people to receive high-quality care, and remain conveniently closer to home.”

The practice is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with an orthopaedic urgent care and weekend injury clinic on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon. Appointments can be made by calling 336-903-7845 or through the myWakeHealth patient portal.
