Maxwell Langfitt, M.D., an orthopaedic surgeon with Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist and an assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery with Wake Forest University School of Medicine, has been named executive medical director for perioperative services at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Davie Medical Center.
In this role, Langfitt is responsible for managing and coordinating the activities required to provide a safe and supportive environment for patients and teammates. He will lead alongside nursing, anesthesia and subspecialty leadership for the operating room and post-anesthesia care unit clinical services.
