October is a great time to talk about what you can do to best protect yourself and all the women in your life from breast cancer. During breast cancer awareness month, we pause to remember that screening and lifestyle choices can have an impact on both early detection and prevention.
But the story does not end with prevention and detection any longer! The really good news is that long-term survival rates after a diagnosis of breast cancer are steadily rising. Breast cancer survivors are women who show no signs of disease following treatment. It is an exciting time but it can also be a difficult time. High Point Medical Center offers many support, educational and
informational programs to help women during the transition from active care to survivorship.
Join Dr. Stacy Wentworth as she discusses the importance of early detection, treatment and survivorship of breast cancer.
