For the 14th time, 99.5 WMAG will broadcast a two-day radiothon to benefit Brenner Children’s Hospital, part of Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, on Thursday, Dec. 7 and Friday, Dec. 8.
On-air personality Lora Songster will lead the event, which will be broadcast from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. The funds raised help enhance the care that patients and families receive at Brenner Children’s. The previous 13 radiothons have raised more than $1 million.
This year’s event also is receiving support from:
- Triad-area Burger King locations, which provided a coupon book and a cut-out sign that was displayed in their restaurants during the month of June for each $1 donation.
- Triad-area Great Clips locations, which will donate a percentage of haircut sales during November and provide a $2 off coupon for a return haircut and a cut-out sign to display in its salons for each $2 donation.
Volunteers from American Airlines, Bayada Nurses, Great Clips and the Friends of Brenner Children’s Hospital are among those who will answer phones during the radiothon broadcast.
