High Point Medical Center Employees Donate $223,000 to 2017 Give Strong Employee Giving Campaign

July 11, 2017

This summer, 904 employees and medical staff from High Point Medical Center combined efforts to raise $223,806 for the 2017 GiveStrong! Fundraising Campaign – setting a new record for the campaign in a single year and bringing the grand total raised since the campaign began in 2010 to over $1 million dollars.

“This is truly an amazing accomplishment and we are extremely proud of our employees and medical staff” said Denise Potter, Vice President, Foundation/Public Relations & Marketing.    “The generous contributions made by our team combined with those from members of our community will positively impact the patients and families we serve now and well into the years ahead.”

Employees designated their contributions to support the area of greatest need which included a Capital Campaign Fund for the major renovation and modernization project to advance clinical technology and facility improvements for the cardiology, oncology and surgical patient care programs at High Point Medical Center.  Contributions were also designated for the Patient Special Needs Fund for those individuals who are identified by hospital social work to be in a crisis situation and have an immediate need for support.

“This is an outstanding accomplishment” said Ernie Bovio, President & CEO. “The dedication our employees have shown each and every year to the GiveStrong! Employee Giving Campaign is incredibly impressive. This truly demonstrates their commitment to our hospital and to this community.”
