In celebration of this weekend’s M.D. Alumni Weekend, Wake Forest School of Medicine will officially open its interactive Deacon Gallery located inside the Bowman Gray Center for Medical Education.
The Deacon Gallery will offer visitors an opportunity to review images from the last 114 years of the School of Medicine.
Composed of interactive screens, artifacts and images, the gallery will connect alumni and highlight educational programs and the international impact of the School of Medicine.
The user-friendly and interchangeable screens are equipped with four apps that allow guests to search the alumni database, scroll through 73 years of yearbooks, view a timeline dating back to 1902 and utilize a mosaic that offers the option to select certain photos to be emailed.
The gallery will be open to School of Medicine visitors Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Appointments also can be arranged by completing the request form at school.wakehealth.edu/request-a-tour.html.
