Wake Forest Baptist Opens New Location in Greensboro

March 23, 2016

Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center is now offering a wide range of adult and pediatric outpatient services at a single location in Greensboro.

Wake Forest Baptist Health Medical Plaza-North Elm, at 3903 N. Elm St. in the Lake Jeanette neighborhood of Greensboro, consolidates Wake Forest Baptist’s existing Guilford County clinical practices at an easily accessible, patient-friendly facility.

“Medical Plaza-North Elm provides our Greensboro-area patients with a central, up-to-date destination for high-quality care, as opposed to the clinics located at different sites,” said James Hoekstra, M.D., vice president, clinical business development at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. “This new facility also has allowed us to alleviate space constraints at some of the practices and resolve a number of issues related to being in multiple locations.”

The adult clinics at Medical Plaza-North Elm include heart failure, neurosurgery, reproductive medicine, spine, surgical specialties, urology, urological gynecology and weight management. The Brenner Children’s Hospital pediatric clinics at the location include cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, hematology and oncology, kidney, urology and weight management. The facility also features ultrasound services and fully equipped clinical labs.

Medical Plaza-North Elm is the result of a $1.5 million renovation of an existing building. The project architect was Triad Design Group of Greensboro and the general contractor was Landmark Builders of Winston-Salem.

Wake Forest Baptist occupies approximately 23,000 of the two-story structure’s 32,500 square feet of floor space. The building’s other occupants are Compass Financial Partners and Coley Cosmetic & Hand Surgery Center.

The Wake Forest Baptist clinics at Medical Plaza-North Elm are open Monday through Friday. Parking is free.
