Wake Forest Baptist Named One of Becker’s Hospital Review's 100 Hospitals with Great Neurosurgery and Spine Programs

Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center has been named one of Becker’s Hospital Review’s “100 Hospitals with Great Neurosurgery and Spine Programs” for 2014.

The hospitals and health systems featured on the list offer remarkable neurosurgical and spine care as based on clinical accolades and recognition from various health care groups and agencies.

According to Becker’s, the departments of neurosurgery and neurology at Wake Forest Baptist are recognized as major centers for the care and treatment of patients in inpatient and outpatient settings. U.S. News & World Report ranked Wake Forest Baptist nationally for neurology and neurosurgery in 2013-14 and as best in the region for 2014-15. Wake Forest Baptist's Movement Disorders Center is one of the oldest and leading programs for the treatment of disorders such as Parkinson's disease, dystonias, essential tremor and dyskinesias. The spine program is internationally recognized for its innovations in minimally invasive spinal surgery, and more than 1,000 spine surgeries are performed at the hospital's spine center each year.
