Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and the American Heart Association (AHA) will host a document shredding event for the public on Saturday, November 8, from 9 a.m. until noon, in the parking lot of the Miller Plaza building at 2200 Cloverdale Ave.
Cintas
Corporation will provide shredding services. Participants can watch as their
documents are securely shredded on-site before being recycled.
The shredding service is free, but donations are appreciated. A portion of the
proceeds will benefit the AHA’s Tanglewood Heart & Stroke Walk that will
take place on Saturday.
More than 1 million Americans participate in Heart & Stroke walks in more than 300 cities across the country to fund research to erase heart disease and stroke, two of the nation’s biggest killers.
Wake Forest Baptist is proud to be the presenting sponsor of the Tanglewood Heart & Stroke Walk, the AHA’s largest local fundraiser. The Walk festivities begin at 8 a.m. Registration for the Walk is required.
For more information on the Walk, and to register, visit www.wakehealth.edu/Tanglewood or call 336-716-4588. For more information on the AHA, visit www.heart.org.
Part of the proceeds from the shred event will also benefit the ALS Association’s Walk to Defeat ALS scheduled for May 2, 2015.
