Four different screenings will be available to the public free of charge this Saturday (Feb. 22) when Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center’s Heart and Vascular Center conducts its annual Heart Health Screening Day.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Jerry Long Family YMCA, 1150 S. Peace Haven Road, Clemmons.
The free screenings – for blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol and peripheral artery disease – will be performed by Medical Center professionals. Appointments are required and can be made by calling 336-716-9253. Individuals who have undergone the same type of screening during the past 12 months are not eligible.
During the event, one of Wake Forest Baptist’s AirCare emergency transport helicopters and the Brenner Children’s Hospital neonatal critical care ambulance will be on display.
