Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center will play several major roles as the official medical provider of the Winston-Salem Open throughout the event scheduled for Aug. 17 to Aug. 24.
Wake Forest Baptist medical experts are prepared to assist both athletes and attendees with any medical attention needed during the event. Sports medicine expert Daryl Rosenbaum, M.D., family and community medicine, serves as this year’s tournament medical director, leading our medical experts and advising athletes during the competition.
Our nationally recognized research in sports injury prevention, preeminent sports medicine physician training programs, and the advanced minimally-invasive treatments that we provide to athletes of all ages, benefit both amateurs and professionals alike.
While providing support for the event, Wake Forest Baptist will offer ticketholders the opportunity to have a shoe fitting, gait screening and balance and core stability assessment with a physical therapist; learn about healthy recipes from Brenner FIT dietitians; ask sports medicine physicians questions about the risks of sports injuries, and get tips to improve their health.
