WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Carlos M. Ferrario, M.D., has been honored by the Consortium for Southeastern Hypertension Control (COSEHC) in recognition of his many contributions to the current understanding of the Renin-Angiotensin System and the causes of high blood pressure.
The Carlos M. Ferrario, M.D., (COSEHC) Founders Lectureship has been established in recognition of his expertise, leadership and many contributions to cardiovascular medicine.
Ferrario, the Dewitt Cordell Professor of Surgical Sciences and a Professor of Physiology and Pharmacology at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, established the Hypertension and Vascular Research Center at Wake Forest Baptist and is the founder of COSEHC.
