Daeihagh Receives Promotion at Wake Forest Baptist

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Pirouz Daeihagh, M.D., a nephrologist at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, has been promoted from assistant professor to associate professor of internal medicine (nephrology). He is the medical director of North Carolina Baptist Hospital Inpatient Dialysis Services and director of the Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy Program.

Daeihagh’s medical specialties include clinical nephrology, dialysis and hypertension. His research interests focus on regenerative medicine, acute renal failure and renal replacement therapy in the intensive care setting.

Daeihagh is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (Nephrology). He earned his medical degree at Indiana University and served as a resident at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Ind., before accepting a fellowship in nephrology at Wake Forest Baptist in 1997. He has been on faculty in the section on nephrology since 1999.
