WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The fourth annual Corvette Cruise-in, benefiting Brenner Children's Hospital, will be held on Saturday, Sept. 13, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Comp Rehab Plaza, 131 Miller St., Winston-Salem. The event is free and open to the public; however, donations to the Brenner Children's Hospital Cancer Support Program are encouraged.
The cruise-in will feature more than 100 Corvettes. Live entertainment will be provided by Songbear Productions. A raffle for a new 50 inch plasma television with sound system and five-year warranty donated by Batesville Casket Co. will be held. The tickets are $5 each and will be available at the cruise-in.
A raffle for an AirCare helicopter ride will also be held. The tickets are $10 each and will only be available at the cruise-in. An auction will be held for several items including race jackets signed by Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and Jeff Gordon.
As the only children’s hospital in this region, Brenner Children’s Hospital offers a dedicated pediatric oncology program. The childhood cancer treatment team at Brenner Children’s Hospital includes pediatric oncologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists, pediatric oncology nurses, specially trained psychologists, social workers, child life specialists, nutritionists and educators who can support and inform the entire family.
The children’s hospital also offers children with cancer the opportunity to participate in the most current and advanced clinical research trials through the Children’s Oncology Group, a National Cancer Institute-supported cooperative research organization.
