WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Lance Labine, president of Hoots and Stokes-Reynolds memorial hospitals, has earned the distinction of board certification in health care management as an American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Fellow.
Labine has been president of Hoots Memorial Hospital since 1994 when he first came to work for Wake Forest Baptist University Medical Center. Hoots is a 22-bed medial-surgical hospital in Yadkinville. He was named president in 2004 of Stokes-Reynolds Memorial Hospital in Danbury, a general medical-surgical hospital with 53 acute-care beds and 40 long-term care beds. He holds a master’s degree in health services administration from George Washington University.
ACHE is an international professional society of more than 30,000 health care executives who are leaders in a variety of health care settings. Only 7,500 health care executives hold the fellow distinction. To obtain fellow status, candidates must fulfill multiple requirements, including passing a comprehensive examination, meeting academic and experiential criteria, earning continuing education credits, and demonstrating professional/community involvement. Fellows are also committed to ongoing professional development and undergo recertification every three years.
Labine lives in Yadkinville with his wife and two children.
