Thrower’s Clinic Scheduled Feb. 23 at CompRehab

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The 2nd Annual Thrower's Clinic, sponsored by sports medicine at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Sat., Feb. 23, in the sports physical therapy gym at CompRehab Plaza at 131 Miller Street.
Any overhead-throwing athlete, such baseball, softball, or football players, can benefit from this training.
The clinic will include discussion of proper throwing mechanics and common training mistakes, followed by instruction and practice for rotator cuff and total body conditioning and strengthening that can help reduce the risk for injury and improve throwing performance.
The cost is $10 per athlete and parents are encouraged to attend and participate at no additional charge. Athletes will be divided into two different age groups – 9 to 13 and 14 and up – to allow age-appropriate training (siblings/friends may stay together if desired).
Each athlete will receive a T-shirt (adult S, M, L, XL) and a written examples of all the exercises. Pre-registration is requested. To register, please call: 336-716-8113.
