Carr Recognized in Medical Imaging Magazine’s “Top 10” for 2007

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – J. Jeffrey Carr, M.D., M.S.C.E., professor of radiology, cardiology and public health sciences at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, was named one of Medical Imaging magazine’s “Top 10” in cardiovascular imaging for 2007.

The Cardiovascular Imaging Center of the Heart Center at Wake Forest Baptist is an international leader in the field of cardiac computed tomography (CT). A CT scan is an X-ray technique that produces images of internal organs superior to conventional X-rays. Carr and Heart Center cardiologists have established expertise across the entire spectrum of cardiac imaging.

The publication is aimed at radiologists and other imaging professionals and provides news about product information and technology breakthroughs in radiology. Readers were asked to select the best among their peers based on a list of criteria including patient care and outcomes, leading techniques, industry interaction, and research.
