Thrower’s Clinic for Young Athletes offered at CompRehab

Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center is offering a two-hour clinic designed to teach young throwing athletes appropriate strengthening and flexibility exercises to enhance throwing performance while reducing the risks of injury.

Clinics will be held Saturday, January 20 from 9am to 11am and Saturday, January 27 from 9am to 11am. Registration fee is $10 for the first athlete and $7 for each additional sibling or friend. Participants should be between the ages of 9 and 16. Parents are encouraged to attend and participate at no charge.

All instructors are licensed physical therapists in the Sports Physical Therapy Department at Wake Forest Baptist. The program includes hip and core strengthening, shoulder blade stabilization and rotator cuff training.
