WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Downtown Health Plaza of Baptist Hospital has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
The ACR awards accreditation to facilities that have achieved high practice standards after a peer-review evaluation conducted by board-certified physicians and medical physicists. They assess the qualifications of the staff and the adequacy of the facility’s equipment.
The Downtown Health Plaza is located at 1200 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. It provides comprehensive primary and preventative health care services including obstetrics/gynecology, pediatrics and adult medicine. The facility also has an onsite pharmacy, lab and radiology and specialized services.
The ACR is a national organization serving more than 32,000 diagnostic-interventional radiologists, radiation oncologists and nuclear medical physicists with programs focusing on the practice of medical imaging and radiation oncology and the delivery of comprehensive health care services.
