WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The Women's Health Center of Excellence at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center will hold its eighth Excellence Triathlon at a new location this year.
The sprint triathlon will be held at Tanglewood Park in Clemmons on Saturday May 21 at 8 a.m. The new course includes a 400-meter swim, 12-mile bike course and a 4.5-mile run.
About 300 athletes from across the Southeast are expected to compete this year. Racers can sign up individually or in teams of two or three participants. For specific race information or to register online visit www.excellencetriathlon.org or call (336) 713-5277.
Proceeds from the triathlon support domestic violence prevention programs and community education.
