WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Downtown Health Plaza of Baptist Hospital has been chosen to receive a "Downtown Excellence Award" by the Downtown Winston-Salem Partnership.
The Downtown Health Plaza is being recognized for the high level of health care services it provides and the facility’s role in downtown development. Constructed in the historic Depot Street area, the Downtown Health Plaza is a key component in the revitalization of the city’s central business and residential district. It opened in December 2000.
"We are honored to have been chosen for this very prestigious award. Our mission at the Downtown Health Plaza is to provide high quality health care services to the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County community with special attention to making the experience a positive one," said Michael L. Clements, director of the Downtown Health Plaza. "We are equally proud to be part of the successful revitalization of our downtown area and look forward to even greater successes."
The award was presented at the Downtown Winston-Salem Partnership’s annual meeting, February 25.
The Downtown Health Plaza is located at 1200 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. It provides comprehensive primary and preventative health care services including obstetrics/gynecology, pediatrics and adult medicine. The facility also has an onsite pharmacy, lab and radiology and specialized services such as:
- Diabetes Management
- Dermatology
- Gastroenterology
- Hypertension Management
- Neurology
- Podiatry
- Pulmonary Care
- Kidney Disease Management
- Outpatient Surgery
It operates Monday-Friday – 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., or after hours by appointment, (336) 713-9700.
