Brosnihan to Attend International Hypertension Meetings in Brazil

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – K. Bridget Brosnihan, Ph.D., professor of surgical sciences-general at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center will attend two international meetings on hypertension in Brazil.

Brosnihan, who serves as a member of the board of trustees of the Inter-American Society of Hypertension (IASH) will speak at the International Society of Hypertension meeting in Sao Paulo, Brazil Feb. 16-19. She will also speak at a satellite symposium for the conference held in Ouro Preto, Brazil, Feb. 12-14.

Brosnihan, a researcher at the Hypertension and Vascular Disease Center, is also professor of physiology and pharmacology at Wake Forest Baptist.

The IASH is a non-profit organization devoted to the understanding, prevention and control of hypertension and vascular diseases.
