WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Heart Center at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center has been named one of the “44 Top Cardiac Centers for Women” in America by Good Housekeeping magazine.
In its February issue, now on newsstands, Good Housekeeping partnered with Castle Connolly, publisher of the guide, America’s Top Doctors, to identify the best places in America for women to seek specialized care or consult with a physician at a leading cardiac center. John W. Hammon Jr., M.D., professor of cardiothoracic surgery at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, was identified as an exceptional practitioner in his field.
The Heart Center at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center was cited for excellence along with an exclusive list of health care facilities including Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, the Cleveland Clinic in Weston, Fla. and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Castle Connolly publishes an annual consumer’s guide to America’s leading physicians and hospitals based on peer nomination.
