WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – University Dental Associates has received full accreditation from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. University Dental Associates is among only 13 dental group practices in the United States to have received accreditation status. The accreditation is for three years.
“Since the founding of University Dental Associates in 1997, the dentists, clinical staff and management team have expended tremendous effort to achieve accreditation,” said Raymond Garrison, D.D.S., president of University Dental Associates and chair of the Department of Dentistry at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. “We have developed the professional environment for providing high quality patient care and this accreditation status serves to enhance the dental residency and continuing education programs we conduct.”
The association is a peer-based, not-for-profit organization that is nationally recognized for conducting extensive evaluations of ambulatory health care organizations to ensure the highest quality standards. Examples of the some of the standards include rights of patients, quality of care provided, clinical records, anesthesia and surgical services, teaching and research activities.
