Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center will hold its sixth annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration Monday, Jan. 21 at 12:15 p.m. in Babcock Auditorium. The public is invited. Maj. Patricia A. Wilson-Robinson, D.D., director of the Clinical Pastoral Education Center at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Wash., will be the featured speaker. Wilson-Robinson is the first female chaplain in the U.S. military to become a fully certified clinical pastoral education supervisor and the first African American woman to direct and develop a clinical pastoral education program for the U.S. Army. She is also an associate minister at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Seattle.
Musical selections will be provided by the New Life Ensemble of Winston-Salem and the Say Ahs!, a women''s a cappella singing group comprised of first and second year students at Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
Admission is free. Free parking will be available at the employee parking deck on Hawthorne Road.
