Baptist Hospital Honors its Volunteers

N.C. Baptist Hospital will honor 92 of its volunteers for their service at a luncheon April 24 at The Hawthorne Inn and Conference Center. The hospital has more than 600 volunteers who contribute about 130,000 hours of service a year.

Honorees with the highest levels of service are: Don Moss of Pilot Mountain, 27,000 hours; Marion McLesky of Winston-Salem, 18,000 hours; Sankie Fritchman of Winston-Salem, 17,000 hours; Dutch Fritchman of Winston-Salem and Louise Joyce of Advance, 14,000 hours; Marie Wilson of Winston-Salem, 12,000 hours; Beth Lynch of Winston-Salem, 9,000 hours; and Oliver White of Winston-Salem, 8,000 hours.

Also, Hilary Booze, Alan Mills and Wilma Smiley, all of Winston-Salem, 7,000 hours; Helen Green of Jamestown, Dean Price of Kernersville and Connie Dickens, Louise Holt, and Aleen Hutchins, all of Winston-Salem, 6,000 hours; and Eunies Futch, Rob Grier, Mildred Hinkle and Johnsie Liner, all of Winston-Salem, 5,000 hours.

Hospital volunteers work in a variety of jobs, from assisting family members in the Emergency Department to providing directions to visitors at the information desks.
