Wake Forest University School of Medicine ranked 43rd in research among the nation''s medical schools according to rankings in the current (April 9) issue of U.S. News & World Report.
The school''s geriatrics program retained its top 10 ranking nationally -- tied with Yale University for 8th.
The annual rankings of American''s Best Graduate Schools showed Wake Forest tied in research with Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., Indiana University-Indianapolis, University of Maryland - Baltimore and the University of Southern California.
In a separate ranking of top schools in primary care medicine -- which includes pediatrics, family medicine, general internal medicine and general obstetrics and gynecology -- Wake Forest ranked 47th, tied with the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey and the University of Connecticut.
