Free Heart Health Screenings to be Offered Feb. 14 at Clemmons YMCA

Three different screenings will be available to the public free of charge on Saturday, Feb. 14 when Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center’s Heart & Vascular Center conducts its annual Heart Health Screening Day.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Jerry Long Family YMCA, 1150 S. Peace Haven Road, Clemmons.

The free screenings – for blood pressure, blood glucose and cholesterol – will be performed by Medical Center professionals. Appointments are not required.

During the event, one of Wake Forest Baptist’s AirCare emergency transport helicopters and the Brenner Children’s Hospital neonatal critical care ambulance will be on display.

In addition to the Feb. 14 event, the Heart & Vascular Center will also offer free screenings by appointment for blood pressure, blood glucose and cholesterol from noon to 2 p.m., Feb. 2 at Wake Forest Baptist Health – Davie Medical Center, Highway 801 North, Bermuda Run; from noon to 2 p.m., March 30 at the Robinhood Road Family YMCA, 3474 Robinhood Rd., Winston-Salem; and from noon to 2 p.m., April 14 at the Jerry Long Family YMCA, 1150 S. Peace Haven Road, Clemmons.

Health educational counseling will also be provided at all screenings. Individuals who have undergone the same type of screening during the past 12 months are not eligible.
