Softball Tournament to Support Burn Center’s Firefighters Burn Fund

March 8, 2012

The Forsyth County Fire and Rescue Association will hold a softball tournament April 13-14 to support Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center's Burn Center Firefighters Burn Fund.

All tournament games will be played at Washington Park on South Broad Street in Winston-Salem and all proceeds from the event will go to the Firefighters Burn Fund.

Wake Forest Baptist's Burn Center Firefighters Fund supports burn prevention, community outreach and burn education; staff development and support, and patient care. The fund distributes videos on burn education, provides after-care support for burn survivors and their families and sponsors various burn-related community events.

The tournament will have two men's divisions (competitive and public safety) that will compete on both days plus a co-ed division that will play on Saturday, April 14.

The entry fee is $175 per team and the registration deadline is April 4. Teams registering by March 23 will receive an event T-shirt for each team member.

For more information or to get an entry form, contact Scott Routh, the tournament organizer, at (336) 703-2560 or routhcs@forsyth.cc.
