February 27, 2009

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – A fashion show featuring models of all ages showing off the latest styles and sharing their stories of surviving heart disease will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, in Belk Court at Hanes Mall.

The Red Dress Fashion Show will be presented by BestHealth, Belk department store and the Heart Center of Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Television anchor Rosemary Plybon from WFMY-TV, the CBS affiliate in Greensboro, will host the show.

Models will include men and women ranging in age from the very young to the young at heart whose stories of their challenges with heart disease will be inspiring and uplifting. The show will also feature models from Wake Forest Baptist’s Heart Center and Stroke Center who work with heart and stroke patients, physicians and their staffs.

In celebration of Heart Month in February, BestHealth and Wake Forest Baptist Heart Center are also offering free classes and screenings at BestHealth in Hanes Mall. These programs identify risk factors for heart disease and how to reduce them, show how to recognize the signs and symptoms of a heart attack in women and men, and teach people to take an active role in preventing heart disease.

Registration is not required for the fashion show. For more information about the show or about Heart Month classes in February, call BestHealth at (336) 716-2255.
