Burn Prevention Week is Feb. 1-7

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest University Baptist Hospital, in conjunction with SAFE KIDS of Forsyth County, is promoting awareness of Burn Prevention Week, Feb. 1-7.

Observed the first full week in February, Burn Prevention Week, is designed to provide an opportunity for burn, fire and life safety educators to unite in sharing a common burn awareness and prevention message in the community.

Donna Joyner, SAFE KIDS coordinator for Forsyth County, and James Holmes, M.D., director of Wake Forest Baptist’s Burn Unit, are available for media interviews to share the important message of preparation, prevention and response when it comes to burn awareness.
