WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center is partnering with Step One, an affiliate of Partnership for a Drug-Free North Carolina, to sponsor Alcohol Screening Awareness Day on Thurs., Apr. 7. The free screenings will be held at Downtown Health Plaza from 8 a.m. to noon, and on Hanes Mall’s lower level near Sears, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The purpose of the screenings is to educate the public about at-risk drinking, alcohol’s effect on health and medications, and the signs and symptoms of alcohol problems.
